So far, in 2022 Apex Moving + Storage has helped provide 237,034 meals to food-insecure communities in the Nashville area as part of the Move For Hunger network! Apex Moving + Storage has been part of Move For Hunger’s network since 2011 and over the past 12 years, we have provided a total of 1,225,025 meals to those in need across the United States.
How do we do this? We collect food from transferees’ pantries and donate it to local food banks. As they prepare for long-distance moves, people often throw out a lot of things, including food. Rather than letting unopened, non-perishable food go to waste, we can collect that food and deliver it to local food banks.
“Our mover network is the backbone of our organization. Their dedication to fighting hunger continues to chip away at the hunger crisis and feeds millions of people every year. The dedication to fighting hunger our movers show year after year is outstanding,” says Adam Lowy, Executive Director and Founder of Move For Hunger.
“It’s exciting to see how much our network is able to impact food-insecure communities, considering more than 42 million Americans and 1 in 6 children don’t know where their next meal will come from. Thanks to the efforts of Apex Moving + Storage, more people will go to bed with full stomachs.”
